Oh! 花火!

Now that it is summer in Japan everyone gets hotted up in their sexy yukatas (light summer kimonos) and it's game on! Hanabi (fireworks) are organised pretty much every weekend, and last Sunday night me and some lovers went and checked out the awesome display in Yokohama. Yokohama is ace because it's the 2nd biggest city in Japan, right next to Tokyo and with a gorgeous bay it kind of reminds me of Sydney. So the fireworks were on the bay, we sat on our tarp in the park, drank lots of j-beer and chu-hai and had a sexy time. It was especially cool because I went with my lovely, lovely friends Rebekah (from high school!), Cindy (former workmate in Sydney!) and Carrie (if you read this blog you know her for sure), and also Cindy's boyfriend Ben and Carrie's lovely flatmate Sandy, so it was all Aussies (something I have just realised as I type this now.)

Yukata? Check! Fan? Check! Onigiri? Check! Sultry anime pose with pseudo-shyness? Check! Rebekah looking absolutley J-tastic!

皆さん今晩わ!

I love this photo of Rebekah in the phone box! かわいいね!

Word.

Unfortunately we were parked under a tree so we didn't get the best view of the fireworks, but my experience of them is that they aren't super-amazing, they just last for about an hour. Pretty cool. We were, however, sitting under a tree like the one from the Ghibli film Totoro so it was pretty sweet anyway!

トトロ、トトロ!トトロ、トトロ!

Hey! Finally found your blog. Nothing like a bit of narcissism to get a person moving. Love the pictures!

What do you mean pseudo shyness??
Love,
R.
